The theme for 2025 was "Portals," and her concept of a cyborg greenlands guardian from the year 3035 helped her gain the award from esteemed judges Tiffany Beckler, Wiser Oner, Scott Fray, Moona Jin and Rudy Campos.

Her first face paint! She started out shy and was my bestie at the end. She came back as I was closing and I gave her tiger claws on her arm. She was the happiest rainbow tiger ever!

What does it mean to get ready for a vendor event as a face painter? Let me tell ya….. it’s not easy.

I would always prefer to be paid, have a canopy or shade ready for me and I just show up, unpack the supplies to paint and start providing free face painting to the masses for the time I’m paid to be there. The only time I prefer to be a vendor is when it’s a long gig, high footfall the entire event and I’m sure to make more than if I had accepted 3 private parties the same day.

If you’re not a face painter, this might be a hot take for you….and it might upset you. Face painters are ENTERTAINERS! You pay a DJ, the bounce house, maybe a balloon twister, clown (or other)…you can pay the face painter as well. This is a job. Not a hobby.
